For the past few years I have been making and decorating cakes for family and friends. After numerous comments that I should do this full time, Holly Lodge Cakes was born in August 2007. Decorating a cake is an art form and most things can be achieved with a little imagination, so I would like to think that there is no boundary. I prefer to use my own design's, using the Client's initial thoughts and a little of their personality. I do not mind if a photo is shown as an inspiration for an idea and would replicate if this was preferred. Although after a consultation, it is often the case that it can be incorporated in places but new ideas are also used.
The thrill for me is the end result and seeing the Client's face after I have delivered the cake.
